Last week threw me a few curveballs. Despite preaching and practicing weekly self-care habits (most of the time!), life reminded me that even the best intentions can get sidelined. It was one of those weeks—unexpected demands, shifting priorities, and a whole lot of overwhelm. And in the middle of it all, I had to stop and remind myself: self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a non-negotiable for professional women.

Sometimes we get caught up in doing all the things—building businesses 💼, pouring into others ❤️, checking off lists ✅—and we forget that we can’t pour from an empty cup. Last week was my wake-up call. And maybe you needed that Sunday reset reminder, too.

If you’ve been feeling out of alignment, just know you’re not alone. Sometimes the best mindfulness reset practice is just pausing long enough to listen to what your spirit has been whispering all along. 🧘🏽‍♀️


Permission to Pause: Essential Self-Care for High-Achieving Women

This Sunday, I’m skipping the to-do lists 📋 and choosing to just be. No heavy prep. No pressure to plan. Just a cozy moment of relaxation techniques, reflection, and yes—coffee ☕. Because being a woman who leads, supports, uplifts, and shows up? It’s beautifully demanding. And we deserve a weekly self-care pause.

Here’s what I know for sure: there are seasons when prioritizing ourselves feels nearly impossible—especially for mothers 👩‍👧, caregivers, entrepreneurs 💪🏽, and high-achievers. But we cannot lead, grow, or sustain our impact without tending to ourselves first.

You don’t have to earn your rest. You don’t need a reason to reset. The version of you that’s been running on autopilot deserves softness, too. 🌸

So in the spirit of our SundayReset mindfulness practice, I’m reminding you—and myself—that being soft, still, and present is just as powerful as being strategic, productive, and driven. 💫
