About Sherry
I’m Sherry, and I’m deeply committed to empowering women to thrive. My own career journey, marked by both triumphs and challenges, has inspired me to create a supportive space where women can connect, grow, and achieve their full potential. The Lady’z Lounge is the realization of that vision, and my personal experiences have shaped its foundation. Here’s my story.
My career path has been filled with challenges, and my diverse background — including studies in Biochemistry at California State University, Fullerton, and Criminalistics at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and combined with my experience in human resources, new business development, executive management, entrepreneurship, and as a teacher — has given me a unique perspective on the obstacles women face. These challenges, often faced without the guidance of a mentor or the benefit of readily available resources, have shaped my vision for The Lady’z Lounge. It was in those moments, facing those obstacles without a support system, that the vision for The Lady’z Lounge began to take shape. The Lady’z Lounge isn’t just a name; it’s a reflection of my personal “why”—my deep belief that women need a supportive community to thrive. I envisioned a place where women could find the tools, the guidance, and the encouragement they needed to flourish. The Lady’z Lounge is my answer to that need, my commitment to creating the community women deserve. It’s a community built on the belief that together, women can overcome any obstacle, build lasting confidence, and unlock their full potential. It’s a place where potential is ignited, dreams are nurtured, and women are empowered to transform their lives and the world around them.

My happy place – smooth jazz and the open road
Music isn’t just something I listen to; it’s the rhythm of my life. From playing the clarinet and flute back in school to now vibing to smooth jazz during long drives (or when I’m stuck in traffic!), music has always been a source of joy and inspiration for me. I’ve always had a passion for calculus and problem-solving—a love for finding solutions that extends beyond numbers and into the challenges women face in their lives. And when I’m not working on that, you’ll find me skiing, surfing, or hiking—especially when the weather cools down. Along with my love for the outdoors, I have a deep affection for animals, reflecting my belief in giving back and nurturing all living things. I dream of one day running a wildlife reserve.
Beyond my love for adventure, I’m an avid volunteer and crime novel enthusiast (Patricia Cornwell is a favorite). But above all, I’m driven to empower women and teen girls to build healthy self-esteem and confidence. Founding The Lady’z Lounge was a way to turn this passion into a purpose. My mission here is to provide women with the information, resources, and support they need to face life’s challenges with strength, find their unique voices, and thrive in every part of their lives.
