Community Impact Award: Empowering Women & Children in Los Angeles

We are pleased to announce the Community Impact Award, designed to provide financial support to a women-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Los Angeles that significantly improves the lives of women and children. A portion of the proceeds from our upcoming conference will be awarded to the selected organization, enabling them to expand their mission through education, mentorship, leadership development, or the provision of essential resources.


Who Can Apply?

We invite women-led nonprofits and charities based in Los Angeles County, California, that focus on supporting women and children to apply for this award. The selected organization will receive funding to further its mission and create a lasting impact in the community.


Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this award, organizations must:

โœ… Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating within Los Angeles County, California.
โœ… Demonstrate a clear and impactful mission focused on empowering women and/or children.
โœ… Be considered “women-led”, meaning the organization has either:

  • A female founder, or
  • A majority of female leadership within the board and upper management.
    โœ… Demonstrate financial responsibility and effective use of funds.
    โœ… Agree to public acknowledgment if selected as the recipient.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Award Amount: Determined based on a percentage of the conferenceโ€™s profits


Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on the following:

  • ๐Ÿ”น Mission & Alignment โ€“ The organization must be dedicated to empowering women and/or supporting children through its programs and initiatives.
  • ๐Ÿ”น Impact & Potential โ€“ Demonstrated success or a strong plan for creating meaningful change. New and emerging nonprofits are encouraged to apply.
  • ๐Ÿ”น Fund Utilization Plan โ€“ A clear and responsible strategy on how the awarded funds will be used to enhance programs, services, or community impact.
  • ๐Ÿ”น Leadership & Stability โ€“ Strong leadership with a track record of responsible operations and commitment to sustainability.
  • ๐Ÿ”น Community Engagement & Reach โ€“ Evidence of direct community impact, testimonials, or success stories that showcase the organizationโ€™s effectiveness.

Additional Information

  • Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of their application.
  • The selected organization will be presented with a check at the end of the conference and will be mentioned in marketing and potential media exposure, which could include, but is not limited to, social media shout outs, local news coverage, and conference press releases.
  • Please note that this grant does not fund individual scholarships, or political campaigns.
  • The funded organization will be required to provide a post funding report detailing how the funds were used.
  • We are committed to supporting organizations that promote equity and opportunity for all members of the Los Angeles community, and especially impactful 501(c)(3) organizations that are making a significant difference in the lives of women and children in Los Angeles.
